Island families move into new affordable homes.
The Nantucket Fund supported Habitat for Humanity and Housing Nantucket in 2018. We had the pleasure of being on hand as Island Families moved into their new affordable permanent homes or rentals.
Summer Boost with Nantucket Community School.
Nantucket Community School received grant funds to support their kindergarten readiness program, Summer Boost. This program allows students, primarily ESL students, to acclimate to a formal classroom- prior to their first day! Summer Boost students learn everything from riding the bus to raising their hand to answer a question.
Art Club at the Nantucket Boys & Girls Club!
The NBGC received funding to enhance their current art program. Students are now able to explore their creative side through various art forms – including sewing, papier-mâché, water-color, and printmaking. The Nantucket Fund also supported NGBC students through scholarship funds for Art Classes at the Artists Association.
