The Community Foundation for Nantucket is pleased to announce that on Tuesday, July 10th at the annual Grants Recipient Reception, $170,520 was awarded to 26 nonprofit recipients whose missions and programs most closely align with the community’s greatest needs.
Annually CFN convenes members of the Nantucket community to identify and discuss the most pressing current needs, a practice that allows the Community Foundation to be to be strategic in our grant making process around priorities identified by community leaders. This year’s grants reflected our community’s commitment to affordable housing initiatives, behavioral health, child enrichment, education, health, nutrition, diversity, and elder well-being.
In her welcome to the audience, Margaretta Andrews, Executive Director of the Community Foundation expressed ” Our heartfelt thanks to those who contributed to the Nantucket Fund, supporting our efforts to make a difference”.
