The Community Foundation provides investment services to our local nonprofits. Through our relationship with Greater Horizons, a subsidiary of the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation which manages over $2 Billion in assets, we offer low-cost, individually tailored investment options to Nantucket charities for endowments, building funds, or just funds for a rainy day.
Greater Horizons was created to provide support and services to small community foundations like CFN. With Greater Horizons we are able to offer a full range of investment services to donors and charitable organizations.
You can choose your own investment mix, or use one of our five standard investment options CFN Investment Recommendation Form (PDF), ranging from the all-equities pool to the 100% risk-averse money market options. The staff at the Community Foundation cannot provide investment advice, and encourage donors and organizations to seek financial advice when choosing their investment option. We also allow and encourage you to retain your own private Financial Advisor who will be responsible for the management of the assets of your fund.
Investment Management fees range from .07% to .14%, and are netted from investment returns. The Foundation also changes an administrative fee – see Investment Fee Schedule 2016 (PDF) which outlines the additional fees that are charged quarterly to each fund, and are itemized on all fund statements.
