Generous Bequest in memory of J Gwynne and Frances W. Thorsen

The Community Foundation for Nantucket (CFN) is honored to announce a generous bequest in memory of J Gwynne and Frances W. Thorsen, with an estimated value that exceeds one million dollars.  This extraordinary gift will help further CFN’s mission to strengthen Nantucket now and for future generations and enhance the well-being of our community by addressing critical issues and supporting the social, physical, cultural, economic, and environmental conditions essential for all Islanders to flourish and fulfill their potential.

“J Gwynne and Frances W. Thorsen’s gift is the largest single donation to the Nantucket Fund in our 20 year history and will benefit the entire Nantucket community, ” said Sunny Daily, Executive Director of the Community Foundation for Nantucket. “The Nantucket Fund supports nonprofits, municipalities, and religious organizations across the island through grantmaking.
