We’re pleased to announce that raffle tickets to support the Nantucket Fund™ are once again on sale now and available from Trustees of the Community Foundation, at the Foundation’s new office at 9 Bayberry Court, and at tables outside The Hub and the Mid-Island Stop & Shop.
Last year’s Raffle, with all prizes donated by generous island businesses, contributed over $13,000 to the Nantucket Fund™. In 2014, the Community Foundation for Nantucket granted $105,000 to twenty-seven Nantucket nonprofits. This year, the Foundation’s goal is to increase the Nantucket Fund™ to $125,000, and we’re well on our way!
In 2014, the following organizations received Community Grants: A Safe Place, access nantucket, Alliance for Substance Abuse Prevention, Family & Children’s Services of Nantucket, Friends of Nantucket Public Schools, Health Imperatives (Nantucket Family Planning), Housing Nantucket, Inky Santa’s Toy Drive, Linda Loring Nature Foundation, Mentoring Youth Nantucket, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Nantucket Atheneum, Nantucket Boys and Girls Club, Nantucket Community Music Center, Nantucket Community Sailing, Nantucket Community School, Nantucket Dreamland Foundation, Nantucket Film Festival, Nantucket Food Pantry, Nantucket Historical Association, Nantucket Rental Assistance Program, Nantucket Safe Harbors for Animals, Nantucket S.T.A.R., Sustainable Nantucket, Swim Across America, Theatre Workshop of Nantucket, and Walden Chamber Players.

Marsha Kotalac, chair of the Community Grants Committee, says, “Pooled together in the Nantucket Fund™, even small donations can make a big difference for the people of Nantucket served by our many nonprofits. Give once to give to many!”
