“A Force For Good on Nantucket” – Featured in Nantucket HOME Magazine

We’re honored to be featured in the new spring edition of Nantucket HOME magazine. Writer Suzanne Daub spent time getting to know our organization and the people behind it, and the result is a thoughtful, in-depth look at who we are and why we do what we do. The piece explores how the Community Foundation for Nantucket came to be — from a small group of dedicated island residents who saw a need in 2005, to the organization we are today, with more than $31 million in assets under management and more than $42 million awarded in grants to nonprofits across the island.

Our Executive Director, Sunny Daily, said it best: “Without the CFN, Nantucket would be wildly different — so much happens behind the scenes throughout the year.” We couldn’t agree more, and we’re so proud of the community that makes it all possible.

This article shines a light on the many ways the Community Foundation for Nantucket works to strengthen the island: through grantmaking, scholarships, donor-advised funds, and our role as a convener of community leaders. We’re grateful to Suzanne and Nantucket HOME for telling our story so thoughtfully.
