Marianne Hutton Felch died in December 2019, at her home in ‘Sconset. She spent all of her 64 summers on Nantucket. She was actively engaged in religious, educational and social services pursuits on her beloved island.
During her life on Nantucket, first as a summer resident and then from 2002 as a year-round resident, she served the needs of Nantucketers in many ways.
She expressed her wish to give back to the institutions that were closest to her heart including PASCON, Landmark House, Habitat for Humanity, the Cottage Hospital and many other health and human services agencies. She also took special enjoyment in providing personal care to individual shut-in seniors.
The Marianne Hutton Felch Fund will annually support a group of local non-profits aligned with Marianne’s wishes to be selected by her husband Bob and children Sarah and Dean. The Felch family will continue to supplement the fund to assure its ongoing commitment to Marianne’s legacy.
