In celebration of Nantucket Looms’ 50th anniversary, the Nantucket Looms Scholarship Fund was established to honor the legacy of a business built on craftsmanship, creativity, and community since 1968.
Each year, a $2,500 scholarship is awarded to a Nantucket High School graduate pursuing studies in the arts, textile design, or interior design. This support reflects our deep commitment to nurturing the next generation of artisans and designers who will carry forward the values of skill, artistry, and integrity that define our work.
For more than five decades, Nantucket Looms has represented the finest in handwoven textiles and timeless design—craft that has reached places as renowned as the National Gallery in Washington, D.C., Chanel’s boardroom in Paris, and even Bill Gates’ private aircraft. From our founding weavers, owners to today’s team, our mission has always been to celebrate artistry and support the creative spirit of Nantucket.
At a time when young lives are increasingly shaped by technology, this scholarship offers meaningful financial support to encourage imagination, hands-on creativity, and dedication to the arts. By investing in one student each year, we help ensure that the traditions of weaving, design, and artistic expression remain alive and thriving.
