The Nantucket Land Trust (“NLT”) Fund has been established to facilitate the creation of a non-profit Community Land Trust. The NLT has been incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and its application has been submitted to the IRS for 501(c)(3) status. The NLT’s mission is to support a diverse and vital year-round community on the island of Nantucket through creating and sustaining affordable and attainable housing which both fits the character of the Island and is permanently restricted to the year-round community. The NLT is working alongside existing entities to address the broad housing needs of Nantucketers with the NLT having a particular focus on homeownership opportunities.
